Ceramic artist Shari Mitchell has been a Macedon Ranges resident since 2005. She has been actively engaged in pottery for the last 14 years.
“What started out as a hobby to create some ‘me’ time, has now turned into a creative passion. I love sharing ideas and teaching pottery in the region.”
With a professional background in engineering, Shari has enjoyed exploring her creative side. She draws upon childhood memories of her grandmothers teaching their crafting techniques.
More recently, she has employed ‘out of the box’ thinking in creating new pieces, resulting in a continued challenging of herself. Many pieces carry with them a special story or meaning which has led to further commissions.
