Painter and sculptor, Kathy Medbury grew up with a love of animals and was inspired to draw, paint and learn about them, especially the native birds and mammals.
She developed a passion for the natural environment and its conservation through family trips around Victoria.
Kathy is a qualified Applied and Finished Artist who now works as an artist and tutor to children.
She constructs realistic wildlife paintings, drawings and sculpture that have received numerous awards and commendations and have been sold locally and internationally.
Working mostly in acrylics and watercolour she uses a variety of techniques and mediums that she feels would best portray the subject she is painting or sculpting.
Strongly influenced by all animals, especially Australian birds, she loves a challenge and likes to push her abilities.
