Tony Stone: Collographs
Tony’s work creating collographs explores the landscape around Drummond in Central Victoria where he lives. He also travel further afield where he camps to photograph, draw and collect materials to provide the basis of the artwork he creates in his studio.
He is interested in ways to capture and incorporate small intimate details into the larger picture of the landscape.
Recent work has focused on birds and the use of collographs for incorporating some of the materials collected. The presence, absence and behaviour of birds are all indicators of the health of their habitat and help to tell the story of a place.
