Dot Enders

Patron of Art on Piper

Dorothy was one of the original founding members of the Kyneton Art Group, over forty years ago and has been active in artistic creativity since childhood.  Her first career was as a draughtswoman in Melbourne, before relocating to country life in Tylden, then raising two children in their renovated home in Kyneton.

A busy member of the KAG team, Dorothy paints under the name of ‘DENDE’ and has won numerous awards at their annual shows, working in various media – watercolours, oils, pastel, pencil and pen and ink.  Collaging can also be employed to add energy and interest.

Dot is an active member of the local Spinners and Weavers group, often contributing a new textile idea to the monthly meetings as well as finished garments as wearable art or for raffle prizes.

Poetry is Dot’s second language, attending a monthly gathering where she performs her latest tribute to the organised theme.  She always offers a poem or two in her regular monthly changing display near Art on Piper’s front door, and makes gifting bookmarks for the visitors.
